Simple & Natural

Following simple mathematical rules can make drawings plucked entirely from your imagination seem "realer". It's true. Logarithmic compositions and even just consistent spacing and shapes will improve the believability and appeal of your fantasy vegetation.

Kazaap!

A drawing of an electric eye taken with an electric eye encoded into electricity then into light then back into electricity then back into light by your display then into your eyes where it's changed back into electricity for your brain which makes you ask yourself, "Is that crayon or colored pencil?". Who's in charge now, buster?

I'm Tired Of This Sh*t

THEN
sigh... a long week
slept in onion soaked sheets
lost in a catacomb of cubicles
with a vice on my testicles

NOW
but tonight Tonight TONIGHT
the juice hits my nostrils
the bass shakes my tonsils
electricity in blue bolts
felicity not blue balls

LATER
my life's in the pits
I'm tired of this shit

MUCH LATER
I quit.

NOT MUCH LATER
No! Instead I'll own it.

MUCH MUCH LATER
sigh... I've outgrown it.

Embarrassing Confession Time: "The Network TV Interview"

Sometimes I fantasize about being interviewed on network television, where I layout my bleak worldview while the host does his best to sit and nod politely but is clearly upset with me for destroying his Nielsen ratings.

Hairy Sparkler Doodles

These photos were taken by leaving a camera shutter open for fifteen seconds while drawing shapes in the air with a sparkler. You know 'a sparkler,' a fire and electricity emitting stick, we adults like to give to young children, so we can watch their fear transform into detached amusement. Who doesn't like to see that process at work?

I like them because it looks like we're waving a long string of shiny plastic Christmas tree garland through the air, and who doesn't like Christmas and gravity playing together? Maybe religiously devout Christian astronauts, but that's only like 0.0000001 percent of the world's population, and if they don't like it they can just leave, Buzz that means you.

I stole the idea from a photo of Picasso I once saw.
